Burke Painting will provide you with a detailed free estimate and step-by-step procedures on how we will prepare and paint your home or property.

Picking the color scheme is an important part of the paint job. On the exterior, your property should blend in with its surroundings and the colors of the roof, plants and the color of the neighbor's homes. The interior should complement your carpets, drapes and furniture. Our estimator will help you in deciding that right color scheme and the paint to use based on its look, durability and maintenance characteristics.  John Burke has painted hundreds of homes and knows what works well.

Before the beginning of the job, plastic and drop cloths are used to cover plants, windows, furniture and  floors. Daily clean up of the work area is preformed. We are fully DHS certified in Lead Stabilization/Lead Abatement to ensure your family safety from lead poisoning during the course of a painting contract.

We will remove and put back electrical socket/switch plates, ceiling fan/lamp covers, thermostats, and any other wall or ceiling devices  necessary instead of painting around them (wherever possible).

Burke Painting believes that the work before the painting begins is the most important phase of the job. This is why we spend more time and put that extra effort into sanding, scraping and cleaning the surfaces on which we are working.

bullet

We then give a full coat of primer to the surface to ensure proper bonding of the finish coats.

bullet

We caulk, spackle, putty and apply wood filler to repair all damaged surfaces and replace all defective wallboard or plaster when necessary.

bullet

Following the caulking, and sanding of the filler, we spot prime those areas to ensure a long-lasting consistent finish. Through the use of the highest quality  primer, we ensure the finish coats will stand the test of time.

bullet

After the primer has dried, we apply two coats of the highest quality finish paint that adheres the  professional standards of Burke Painting.  Depending on customer color needs and the type of job we are doing, we use any of the following premium paints: BENJAMIN MOORE, DUNN EDWARDS, I.C.I. or KELLY MOORE.

bullet

Completion of the contract is followed by a thorough cleanup of the entire paint area.
